I'm having the time of my life building

I'm having the time of my life building. I wouldn't wish this pace on anyone working for a salary.

A new Berkeley/Yale study says 83% of workers said AI increased their workload but along with it, burnout hit 62% of associates and entry level employees.

AI didn't create more work though, it removed the things that made doing more work impossible.

The blank page used to stop you. Role boundaries meant you did your job, not three jobs. You could only run one thing at a time so you didn't run twelve.
Those were inefficiencies. But they were also the things that kept work from expanding forever.

Now they're gone.

And the competitive pressure means nobody can afford to be the first one to slow down, even when they're already producing triple what they were two years ago.

That turns the productivity story into a collective action problem.

For founders building something, this moment feels electric. The removed friction works in your favor because you own the outcome.

For everyone else, the treadmill just got faster.

The output expectations quietly tripled. The salary didn't move. And nobody can unilaterally decide to step off without losing ground.

I don't think this is sustainable but I also don't see an obvious off ramp.
